I have a FOWLR 125Gal tank and was interested in adding a sponge. I am researching now, but any thoughts on them? I don't know if they need the Premire water quality and attention that a reef tank would possess, any thoughts?

I also have a clown, coral beauty, naso and auriga. Don't know if any of these guys would mess with it/eat it.

Thanks!
Jim

Think I answered my own ? about these guys. Definately need some special care and conditions and better suited for an established reef tank.

i think the fish u have rely on sponges in thier diet so tempting them would not be fair
plus algae would grow on the sponge killing it if ur tank is fairly new still

Assuming you don't have other problems with the fish...the sponge will need lots of phytoplankton (like DTs, for example)
