I was reading a few days back that someone had glued their corals and stuff in place....so they wouldn't move around.

Is that..okay?

It seems so...cruel and mean. :(

Poor babies.

No, it's perfectly find to do. Corals do not move around, people glue them so they are not knocked over by fish or whatever else.

....

Corals dont move around , anemones, starfish and other inverts do. The corals can split and move to an adjoining rock but they are not mobile. Check out the Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert Fenner.

Wow, now I feel like a goober. lol.

I could have sworn the page said that she had to glue the corals because they kept coming loose, floating around, and then reattaching in a different location, and she had to position them so that they wouldn't try to wage war on each other.

I'll try to find the page again in my history file, maybe I have it wrong, maybe she wasn't even talking about corals.

I still feel all evil when I think of using glue on any of the creatures though. :(

*coming from someone who dodges wooly-worms on the highway* *hehe*
