Just Sponges they are good filter feeders great for your reef and Corals let them be.. (y)

what happens if they start growing?

i don't want to have them all over my tank

They will take some time to grow but they will not get to out of hand. Most of the time you might not even notice them. Are you doing Reef or FOWLR?

Then you would want them to grown they help filtrate all the nasties in the tank and eat up what isn't consume in your tank. They are a great asset to your reef.. I have a ton of it growing everywhere but it's not very notice able mostly grows in the dark spots in your tank. HTH :)

They are filter feeder which means they will take some of the excessive nutrients out of your water that causes nuisance algea. I have alot in my 11 yrs old tank. I`m glad I do. They are very beneficial.
