Depends on the eel, What kind were you interested in? I have had 3 diffrent types, all in all I prefer fish.

I don't think you will need a crew, but he shouldn't bother snails.

Thats the only one my eel hasnt eaten yet! Not like he hasnt tried either.

I have a cucumber, snails and hermit crabs with my SFE and he has not bothered them. My Puffers on the other hand try to eat them all the time. Only see the crabs come out after the lights go out.
