I have a 90 gallon tank with mostly soft coral. I had a T5 fixture with 6 54w bulbs, but it shorted yesterday (aparently the humidity caused the fixture to create some water by one of the connections). I trying to figure out what to do. I'm leaning towards LED because i had a hard time this summer keeping my tank cool with the t5 lighting and i can't even imagine what the MH would do to my tank. I also love the shimmer effect that MH have and i read that LED produce the same effect.
I need some advice as to what LED fixture to get. I have ruled out MH's.
I don't want to break the bank either.
Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for led's to my lfs has them but they are expensive. I found some on ebay for a much better price

Most LED units are rubbish and don't have the necessary PAR, make sure you check whatever fixture you decide on before you buy or you may find photosynthetic corals dying rather quickly on you.

If you buy LED make sure they CREE bulbs. Older models of LED were junk but the newer CREE bulbs are fine.
