what PH for HOB fuge

what size PH would be suggested for a 12 x 12 x 4 HOB refugium. i was thinking a maxijet 1200. would that be too powerful?

imo no !! it would work ! pods thrive in reef tanks with 20x water flow with no probs so your fine

what kind of hob fuge is it?

I have a cpr 18'' aquafuge, cpr recommends the maxi-jet 600, since I will be replacing the rio 400 it came with someday soon.

it is going to be one off of e-bay. i think aquarium pro or something like that. it looks just like the CPR. they also said the maxi jet 1200 ( 290 GPH ) would be a perfect choice.

has anyone tried placing the PH in the intake chamber and having a tube in the tank instead of hanging the PH in the tank. i thought this might look cleaner
