I'm now feeding DT. What other quality foods are out there for corals, filter feeders and the like? TIA.

I feed phyto, marine snow as well as cyclops. I alternate and only feed it about every other day.

I personally think the zooplankton food stink! I can't imagine eating them, but the fish like them...

I use the marine snow and cyclops as well as some dry food now and again when I am in a rush and cant stop to feed the little buggers.

Are each of these refrigerated? if not, shouldn't I stick with the refrigerated versions to keep live stuff alive?

kents phytoplankton doesn't need refridgerated, marine snow does. I have two forms of cyclops. One frozen, one freeze dried.

I use DT's.... Then I read an acticle on how to grow my own....Ive got litres of it now :) I take it to my LFS for a discount.

Recipe recap:
Starter culture from someone (even Dt's would work,Ive been told )
Saltwater mixed to 1.019 sg.
5 ml miracle Grow Household liquid plant food
1 ml Kents Essential Elements

Lighting: 16 hrs of light, 8 hours darkenss regulated with a timer
Steady bubbling of air via rigid tubing to the base of the bottle
Shaken slightly each day to stir solution from bottom.

Split the culture every two weeks ,saving half for your tank and half to start new bottles.
Repeat forever .

I use 2 liter Pepsi bottles (2)
rigid air line tubing
air pump w/ regulator
1 strip light from old hood

Just keep the solution bubbling ,not too much
Don't forget to stir/shake each day
Easy as pie :)
