since i dont have access to any playsand that isnt crap, i am looking at the caribsea aragamax. is this appropriate for a dsb??? or should i look for something else?
Aragonite is the most economical...and is a good substrate. It can be topped off with aragomax, which is just a sugar grain size aragonite. What I do is top off the aragonite with live sand, also made by CaribSea.
Creating a DSB with all Aragomax can become extremely expensive. This hobby is expensive enough...LOL. "Still spending $$$"...and you will be for awhile. But...it's worth it if you can afford it
