I'm shopping for a big reef tank. 140-180gal. I'm not new to this but
i could always use some advise. :thanks:

(i heard there are aquarium with blue tint glass rather than the usual green... what is the glass called?)

i don't want to cheap out on this...

Look for a reef ready tank it's been drilled and most likely to have to overflows built in. if is a used tank try to see it filled and lighted easier to spot scratches and or leaks I think the blue glass is star-fire not sure though. Check the seals for air bubbles as they could cause a leak in the future.

Blue glass is starphire... It jus makes the glass more clear 5% more clear than regular glass. Check the tank for leaks and scratches and make sure its reef ready.. Once youve got the tank check inside for selant coming off. If it is then reseal with aquarium silicone. If the aquarium is noisy you can add a gate valve at the bottom to adjust the flow down the drains to match your pump so its super silent

Good stuff as usual guys! Thank you!
Xxmxxh1 thanks for the valve idea! i will do that right now on my 46gal tank!
