Whats the difference??

What's the difference between regular LEDs like a double bright led light system compared to a coral safe LED light system?

Reef capable LEDs are usually higher quality and they are usually 3 watts a piece compared to the fowlr LEDs that are 1 or less watts per.

So if I'm looking into making my own led lighting system what should I be looking for?
As in PAR,watts,lumens, etc.

Your stepping out of my comfort zone in DIY LEDs lol but I know there are quite a few people on here have done so. Perhaps you should open a new thread for DIY LEDs or even browse the DIY section to see if your questions have been answered in another thread.
