The r2 solutions moonlight is very bright. I bought one to place on my 55 and it was too bright for my taste. I ended up returning it for the dual extreme moonlight by the same manufacturer. No experience with the other light you posted, but I like its minimalist style. The r2 moonlight took up alot of space over my tank.

I have a 55 gallon too that I'm wanting it for... How bright do u mean? Like almost as bright as a white light?

Do those light strips go by themselves or with another light? I have a single t5 bulb fixture and I really want to have a blue tint for my tank without having to buy a new fixture. Any ideas?
