Hey guys, I have some snails, not sure what kind... but they suck. They don't seem to move/eat very much. I was looking at some turbo snails in my LFS, do you think they would be better algae eaters? What do you guys recommend? TIA!

My hermits ate all of my turbo snails....

The only thing that has survived in my tank are astrea snails, and they are awesome. Eat off the rock, glass, and up in the filter, heater, powerheads, everywhere.

yeah, 1 cleaner per 1-2 gallons (kinda depends how you mix and match them...turbo snails are very efficient, while hermits are smaller so the just don't eat as much).

Also, its a good idea to get empty shells, so as your hermits grow they can upgrade without having to 'evict' the current shell's tennent.
