Unhappy White "mites" on fish tank

Hello, I am new here.

I have a tropical fish tank containing 3 gourami's and 1 Borneo sucker fish.

I have noticed for a while in the tank and on the glass tiny "sand like" creatures, that hardly move. I have tried cleaning it lots and they do not budge & seem to come back!

Also, on the top of my fish tank are very visable "mites". There are quite a few and also do not seem to be going - they just run around.

I don't know what they are, and would really appreciate advice as I am worried about my little fishes!!

Thank you
Sophie

Based on the description it sounds like a healthy supply of copepods. These are great for your tank.
