Hello,

I noticed a few days ago that I have this white powdery stuff covering my coraline algae and one of my False Percula Clownfish. It's not ick and the clown is acting as normal as ever. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Thanks!

Could be a "snowstorm" caused by dosing calcium mixtures way too much.
Are you dosing with calcium or a 2 part buffer?
This may be what's on your coraline, but the false perc I just don't know for sure.

Just a guess!

You wont see ICH when its in any other cycle than the phase where it attaches to the fish. Will the stuff on the coraline just blow off if you fan above it? Is it only collecting on the coraline?

It wouldnt be calcium precip on the clown. Any way to get a photo of this .

whatever it was, it's gone now. I gave the False Percula a freshwater dip and it cleared whatever it was right off. Kind of strange isn't it?
