I seem to stumble across alot of messages on techniques to rid tanks of these, but I haven't been able to discern why they are not wanted? Can someone enlighten me? Does the answer change depending on whether it's a FO, FOWLR, or Reef tank? Is this an issue with Keys LR from liverocks.com? Thanks.

Reef keeper dont like them and mojamos because
1, they are ugly
2, they spread FAAAASSTT
3, they will sting, kill and smother your corals that you payed good money for.

stresco's 2 and 3 are the real reasons. #1 just makes it easier to bring yourself to removing them

Also, to my understanding, neither Aips nor Mojos are native to the gulf of Mexico. So what you have on your keys rock is similarly described as a "rock" anemone. Supposedly they don't spread as fast, but IMO are still a nusance. Oh yeah they are also seemingly a little hardier than even aiptasia. I know I have a couple I has to juice twice to off 'em.

Because there on my zoos..... :bad-words:

Know I gotta get to work and send them to a better place. :2gunfire:
