Why do my conchs keep piling sand in tank

Doing this? it isn't just sand. They did it in the back and today when I did a water change I was going to spread it out. But it is like gel or something. Are they mating or something??

Those kinda look like cone snails, not conchs

And cone snails are deadly venomous

Google cone snails and conchs
