I read a post recently where someone said that it's a whole new world after the lights go out. So, armed with a flashlight, I started looking around shortly after the lights went out. What did I see?

First, I caught my pistol shrimp in the act of molting. Actually got to watch him pulling off his outter shell! A few minutes later, I see a second pistol shrimp that I never knew I had! No, I wasn't tricked into thinking the molt was a live shrimp. I always figured there had to be more than one because of the clicking but I finally saw pistol shrimp #2. He's much smaller than the one I've been seeing for the past year.

Anyway, just had to share. Watching the molt was really cool. Wish I could've got it on video.

Just wait until you see the GLOW coming from Brittle Stars!!!!! 8O .... definitely the coolest thing I have seen after lights out!!!
