Will button polyps stay on a set apart rock.

I have yellow button polyps and I was wondering will try stay in one place if I keep them on a set aside rock?

I think polyps should be kept aside so they don't spread where you don't want them. Even then it can still happen. I've had zoas spread off a plug, over the sand, and onto other rocks.
