Worried about algae

So I know when cycling a Nano reef there is a ugly brown algae stage but I feel like I have too much, is this normal? Click image for larger version

yes its normal you can use a turkey baster to blow off the rocks along with more circulation aimed towards the heavy spots

While cycling, keep your lights off to avoid unnecessary algae growth while your nutrients are high.
