Wow that was quick....coralline algae in less than 2 months!

It took my 10 gal nano almost 9 months to get its first coralline, but to my dismay, my new 37 gal already has coralline on the glass in less than 2 months! Shocking! 8O

I guess so far so good.....I hope it isnt going to grow overwhelming fast now!

Black perculas are doing great as well!

Have you been dosing this tank from the beginning? Is this the difference between the 10 and the 37?

No, I havent doesed the 37 even once yet. And only three 10% PWCS so far.

I had been dosing the nano from the beggining!

Very strange! I like it though!

I bet you are running less wattage or PAR over the 37...

I have 9.6 WPG in my nano, and 3.5 WPG in my 37.....

I'm not really sure it is the WPG, I think it is more like what spectrum of light can pierce what depth of water. As you get deeper in water, less spectrums of light can reach it. I can't remember exactly, but I think the yellows/reds/blues/and green is the order in depth, that the different spectrums of light can pierce. That's why you see lots of color with in the first atmosphere of SW (atmosphere is about 33feet), after that, the above mentioned colors start fading. Once you get to, maybe around 90 feet, about the only colors are green or maybe a little blue. I know this is not exactly right, as it had been a long time since I knew this stuff. Hopefully, one of our marine biologist-type folks can put it better or correct me. So to wrap it up, the 37G may have had the proper lighting to encourage the coraline growth.
