Xenia Question

Got another coral question. I was at my LFS today and he's got a PULSING XENIA about six inches in diameter and about 8-10 branches comming off the rock, I would like to buy it however I don't know If i'm ready for it my water conditions are as follows
Amonia=0
Trite=0
Trate=20
Phos=.25
I don't want to buy it then have it die on me, That would be a waste. However my question is, How ease are they to care for?
What do they need to survive?
what do they eat?
Should I buy any special chemicals for them?
What kind of placement should they have?bottom, Mid, Top?

Thanks for all your help.

Very easy. Infact they have often gotten the nickname of a coral weed because they can grow and spread so quickly.

They are basicly filter feeders. Thats what the pulsing motion is for. To pump water thru their feeding tenticles.

If you do regular water changes you probably can get by without dosing any elements. I think placment can be just about any where that your tank has light as long as it has moderate water current.

IMO Xenia Likes as high of flow that it can be placed in.. As well as light Mine is almost 1.5' directly under a 250w MH light.... Mine grows awesome and it is directly centered between my return and a Maxi 1200.. It gets alot of moovement and loves to grow Extremely fast...
