Yardright Tropical Play Sand

Does anybody know why the Yardright website (http://www.yardright.com/sand.htm) states that their tropical play sand is not suitable for aquariums?

They are obligated to say that for competitive reasons. It is suitable just not expensive enough in their opinion

Thanks, I have read hundreds of these topics, so I do trust you! Now the challenge is finding it in Connecticut in December. and oh yeah, I am a lawyer, so I understand the mentality!

Home Depot might still have it as "Southdown". Check in the garden section. My brother recently picked up a few bags to fill in his pavers.

some people here in MA have had luck at Agway. I hit about 10 lowes/hd's and gave up... ordered caribsea stuff online ($$$) .
