well its expanding during the day but no polyps are coming out.

well its a new creature. so its been doing this ever since i got it, about one week. am not sure what you meen by shiny? maybe?

its starting to look more like a sponge.

can we get a pic? Could simply be shedding, which is common for new leathers, but could be something else.

its funny how when i read your reply mentioning shedding i thought "yeah i read about that but no, this thing is rotting or something" i never would have thought the shedding thing would look like that. actually my tang ate most of the stuff!!!!
the hand was in its full glory today!! its a very nice specimen.
