Yellow Eye Kole Tang

Will this Kole Tang eat cheato algae? Having a hair algae bloom, and would like to know before I blow money on macro algae that won't hang around for more than a day or two.

Most tangs will eat cheato. Why would you be putting cheato in your display tank?

I don't have a sump, and I am living a somewhat mobile lifestyle at the moment. Trying to cut down on extra equipment, so I just throw the macro algae behind the live rock! But it occurs to me that I have a crazy emerald crab that loves to chop up cheato. There goes that idea.

My yelow eyed Kole tang will not eat macro. They will chomp on a sheet of freeze dried seaweed. Seaweed selects or Nori. JME
