Yellow tang question

I got a baby yellow tang about a week ago and he still hides behind the rocks. I was wondering if this is a normal behavior or if something is wrong with him. Also when I feed them he never comes out. He hides.

Mine was really shy or about two weeks but eventually came out and started playing he was alway a bit skittish but warmed up quite a bit I wouldn't worry about it

Normal behavior, give him some time an he'll get comfortable. Mine charges the glass and begs for food if I pause in front of the tank. He'll lay low, then do a few speed laps with the power head. Never misses a meal though. Be patient, good luck.
