Yellow tangs are indeed hardy but it is often recommended that they be the last fish in the tank as they can get rather territorial. I've had my yellow with a whole host of different fish (including percs and maroons) and the only one it bothered when I first added it was my purple tang (who went in after the YT). [acronym:519912cbc1="For what its worth"]FWIW[/acronym:519912cbc1], my YT was one of the first fish I put into my tank after my cycle because the guy at the [acronym:519912cbc1="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:519912cbc1] said that they are so hardy you could cycle with them!

I have a yellow tang with an O. Clown. They get along fine. I will be adding a coral beauty next week. We will see how the yellow tang takes to that.
