Not sure about that. I would look to fixing the proble, otherwise you will always have it.
What is your lighting cycle? How often/what/how much do you feed? Also, if you update "my info" with your tank/equip/critters, we might be able to help a little better.

Some may, but I wouldn't count on it. The bristletooth varieties are a sure bet though.

I have no problem with you getting a yellow tang but dont get him as a band-aid solution. As Roka64 said you need to find out what is fueling the algea. He asked some good questions that need to be answered.
I dont know after looking at your info a yellow tang needs to be in a bigger tank than a 30 gallon. I dont believe any tang will be happy in that size tank. |

Yellow tangs should be in at least a 75g or bigger. They need a lot of swimming room. I am thinking of getting one for my 150g.

I'd consider a blenny of some type and sufficient snails in a tank that small.
And of course, find out where you're getting the algae from in the first place.
