It's been too quiet in the NY/NJ forum, so I'm gonna make some noise!

The Greater City auctions are alot of fun - and not just because I almost always come home with something.

It's interesting to see what people bid on and how much certain items go for. Tonight, someone paid $34 for a bag of a dozen or so cherry shrimp! 8O Meanwhile, a trio of quarter sized koi angels went for $5. Go figure! Last month, a clump of Java fern sold for $60 - however, it would have completely filled a 5 gal tank.

The next meeting will be at 7:30 on Nov 14 at the VFW post (136-06 Horace Harding Expressway, Flushing).
The holiday party ($10/person) will be on Dec 19 at the Palace Diner (Main Street and Horace Harding Expressway, Flushing).

You are quite right in getting some, this forum has been quiet for too long. I will second your statement about the auctions, they are always interesting and beneficial. I recently picked up 8 juvenile apistos for $9 bucks!
