This is a great chance to get some free corals, learn some simple techniques so you know how to trim back corals when they overgrow, and share camaraderie amongst local reefers.

Our featured special guest speakers are Eric Borneman, from the University of Houston; & Drew Weiner, from Reef Protection International (RPI). Eric will give a talk about a "black list" of species of corals & fish that are to be avoided, and why (whether it is because they don't survive in captivity, are becoming overexploited, are slow growers, are non-propagatable, etc). Drew's talk will be on sustainability issues and the importance of captive propagation efforts.

Along with lots of [acronym:a0ebd10cfd="Broken or cut pieces of coral which will eventually grow into a new animal"]frag[/acronym:a0ebd10cfd] swapping and a great raffle, this is sure to be a meeting NOT to miss!
