LED Lighting in Trouble Must Read!!!

Please read and see what is happening to ALL LED lighting for our aquariums. If this goes through, it may even effect the use of moon lights on our tanks.

ShadowbearWV hears surf in the shell
I read that yesterday and was quite surprised. At the Frag event at That Pet Place, one of the speakers said that almost every lighting manufacturer will be producing an LED based lighting. Hope there is someway around this patent, there always seems to be.

The patent is for LED lighting used to grow corals. Moonlights are not used to grow coral and are not included in the lawsuit against PFO.

dsotmoon has fishy dreams
it seems like orbitec has a patent on a "marine growth system" and PFO is just selling an LED lighting system, i dont believe orbitec has a patent on the LED technology or a patent on the very familiar aquarium "top" design

i dont see this going anywhere unless orbitec can prove PFO actually stole a specific technology that promotes marine growth, i dont even see where PFO is advertising or claiming it promotes marine growth, they are just promoting a LED light fixture
