Aquarium Advice Newbie
I have a 20 gal freshwater tank planted. Two aquaclear 20 power filters, 1 amazon sword, 2 Java plants, 10 hrs light a day , fish feed every other day, 13 1" tetras... My problem is I have Brown algae Bad !!!!! , I have peat/topsoil 1" then 1" gravel then 1" Pool filter sand, Plants are thriving and fish are doing great ( tank new 7 mouths ago, I do know this is a problem with new tanks but I'm over run with the stuff Its covering my plants in about 3 days of water changes ....Is it a good possibility that its the pool sand ( silica) ? I do 50% water changes and its back and wildly growing faster in 3 days.....HELP
