Sleepless in Columbia, South Carolina
Hello all,
I live in Columbia, SC area and I am looking for SW aquarists in the area to plan a trip to the Keys or Atlanta to see the aquarium. I would like also to explore the opportunities for collecting fish in nearby states for home aquarium use. Thanks Dai |

I am in Charleston, but unfortunetly slammed with work this summer. Glad to hear a board memeber is nearby though.

I am also in the Columbia, SC area and will soon be setting up a small tank (RedSea Max 130D - 34 gallons). Can you recommend a reputable LFS in the Columbia/Lexington area? Also, do you purchase your live rock from a LFS in this area or online?

I tried both online and at the LFS, and I had mich better luck at the LFS. You might have to wait a few weeks/shipments for them to get the rock shapes you like, but at least you get to pick the shape/sizes, online you just get whatever random rocks they have.
