Pretty sure I read somewhere like a year or two ago 1 in every 4 homes someone is keeping fish. I think that it meant, from a beta bowl, to monster tanks and everything in between.

So seeing the number of people online talking about it is not very shocking. To me at least.

Who knows of some good pet shops around. my favs are shotank in mundelein, and something fishy in fox lake( my local)

I like Sea Escapes in south elgin. The improvements he has made in the last year make it one of the best for coral in Chicagoland.

Beyond the Reef in Schaumburg is good too, but smaller.

Both are pricey but worth the trip.

Never heard of either of those... Road trip! Exotic aquatics a nice one also( only salt water on 31 north between Algonquin and crystal lake)

That one is ok. It is a nice shop but I always find his stock to be a bit sparse. Both of the ones I mentioned are definitely a good step above that shop IMO.
