A Unique 4 day Fish Extravaganza

At the San Antonio Airport Hilton



Don’t miss the Pre-registration Deadline April 15th

Not one, but two Safaris to collect wild fish on Coleto Creek and The San Marcos River. Transportation, permits and collecting equipment will be provided. Bring your working clothes or Swimsuit and enjoy San Antonio’s Springtime weather.
Start Thursday morning early with a buss ride to Tour Goliad Farms LP hatchery conducted by Charles Clapsaddle, Goliad Farms chief scientist and enjoy Uncle Mutt’s Texas style BBQ lunch provided by Goliad Farms before collecting local fish from Coleto Creek.
Friday starts with a ride to tour theXiphophorus Genetic Stock Center and a presentation by Leona Hazlewood, XGSC Manager and after a stop for lunch continues to the San Marcos river for another fun filled afternoon of collecting the local fish and a discussion moderated by Nick Bertrand on the trip back to the San Antonio Hilton.

SATURDAY LIVEBEARER FISH SHOW

Plaques will be awarded for first, second and third places in each Class
The Show is open to entries of live bearing fishes
The Show is open to any aquarist. ALA or HLA membership is not required for registration/entry
There is a separate class for entries of livebearer photography. All photography must be of living fish and must have been taken by the Exhibitor

ALA Member/Non-member Registration: $3.00 per entry
SUNDAY AUCTION

Auction Items: Any aquarium related items (hardware, fish foods, plants, live foods and fish) will be permitted to be auctioned. Fish are not limited to livebearers. The Auction is open to any aquarist. Bidders who are not Convention registrants will be charged $5.00 for a Bidder Card.

The proceeds will be split on a 70/30 basis, with the Seller receiving 70%.
