Hi guys I have just been given a pleco just over a foot long. He came from a 110 l tank and I have put him into a 110l tank of mine. How long will he be alright in this. I am in the process of setting up a bigger tank which I hope to put him in.
Thank Joe IMG_0229.JPG

Looks to be a common pleco can max out at 18 to 24 in in a home aquarium. Many opinions here...but id recommend at a minimum a 125g. How long can he live in your tank ? No idea there are a lot of variables. Odds are your other fish will suffer first.

Yeah I though as much but I wasn't going to let him just get thrown away. He's been this size for a year or two so I doubt he will get any bigger. I am soaking driftwood for my other tank at the moment only a 40g but will be better than this one. May get it going and put driftwood in later
