The cray you're looking at is a nocturnal ambush predator. Betta and gups don't stand a chance.... betta and gups don't tend to do well together regardless. If you want a blue cray in a species tank, by all means, put one in a 20 gallon by itself. They're fascinating pets and will readily accept prepared foods. Just don't expect to be able to stock fish with it. ;)
 
I think it's funny that people keep crawfish as aquarium pets , I've never even considered it , or heard of it . I guess I'm just so used to eating them . When i was a child I'd sneak them out of the boiling sack one by one and " rescue them " from being eaten . I guess it was my inner aquarist love at work ;) lol
