No, they will not. Mollies get over an inch long for starters and the inch per gallon rule is highly inaccurate.

No, mollies are too big for this tank. The inch per gallon thing is just a guideline, but it is very flawed, so it shouldn't be used as the final say in stocking. You also need to consider activity level, aggression, and bioload (among other things) while considering what to stock a tank with.

I have my betta Maxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx in a 2.5 and he is very personable, active, and all around funny! Very cool fish. You could use a 2.5 for one.

Btw, i adopted the fish. I didnt name him hahah

i know but i have a betta and since his tank broke i think this will be better than the 1g he has been living in...

While I think they deserve 5 gals minimum, it would certainly be better than the 1 gal.
