So I got new plants (anacharis) yesterday since my lfs has a 7 day life guarantee on their fish (R.I.P Mr. Betta). Any who I hope this post is ok in this spot to track my new plant growth experiment. I rescaped my 29g and I think it turned out pretty good, for my first actual aquascape. I only have two types of plants in there now, the anacharis and amazon swords. In my 10g I am trying to grow stocks of anacharis, they were the butt end of the ones in the 29g. I also have wisteria, anubis nana and a moss ball. Let me know what you think and yes, hopefully we can all enjoy this growth tracker. And hopefully it doesn't get moved :)

Tank with black substrate is the 29g and red substrate is the 10g

Sorry for subpar pix, iPad is worth $500 with a $0.50 camera

So in my 10g I have a few Anacharis that I'm trying to grow out. I think the other plants around them were stealing some light cause the leaves were brownish and when I picked up the plant, the leaves just fell off. I have since moved the so they get full light. Is it possible they will bounce back? Or is it hopeless?

Mine did that too when I first got them. They'll start sprouting in a week or so. When the new stems start growing roots, trim and replant. Then just throw away the old stem. The new stems grow back way healthier. :)

Ahh ok, hopefully something happens. Have had them for about a week or so..longer I think.

Just leave em. If they start floating up, and the stems start melting (not leaves) then they're dead. Leave them in there until that point though. I almost threw mine away, in fact I was reaching in to take it out... When I noticed the first green bud. Then they all went off at once lol.

Any objections to placing a goldfish temp in my 10 gallon, Then transferring it to a 55 in a few months..

Wait... You want to put a goldfish in? I wouldn't. Do a school of white cloud minnows. They like colder water.

Cold water? I live in Tucson, the coldest the water gets here is 80. and that's with the A/C at 72

Oh.... I think the confusion is in my post about the gold fish, I abbreviated temp = as in temporarily. I think you might have thought it was temperature...? maybe? IDK lol

Yes, that got me lol. Makes much more sense lol. Well, it really depends on what type of goldfish.

hmm we went to the LFS to look.. We saw some, I can't remember their names I think it started with an S ha! Does that narrow it down enough? jk :p I'll do a quick search and see if I can come up with the name.
