Someone needs to make a goldfish who's ok with warmer waters if there's not already one out there lol.

Goldfish live and breed in pretty much every environment out there. There are plenty of goldfish that are adapted to warmer climates. A breeder I buy from raises and breeds his fish in Hawaii- they are more than adapted to tropical climates.

I think the larger issue is that goldfish carry a huge bioload and grow quite large. A 30g would only work short term for one maybe two juvenile goldies with no other fish. Potential adult size for any fish your considering needs to be taken into consideration as well as the compatiblity factor of any fish with the fish you presently have. Goldfish have slightly different dietary needs than tropicals as well. Ideally, I think we should try to strive for an 'ideal' environment for the fish we wish to keep so they live long, happy lives. :)
