30 Gallon Breeder Tank

Does anyone own this size tank for use other than breeding? I was thinking of getting this tank because it can hold more fish due to its massive surface area (relative to its volume). The bioload shouldn't be an issue because it will be very heavily planted. My question is, as a display tank, does it look odd seeing as how it is wider than it is tall?

Or would you recommend the 30 gallon long?

A 30 long gives you a little more flexibility for stocking, since it has more "floor space". What fish do you have in mind?
