Hey guys so my sister insisted on having a betta, she wanted one of those little 1/2 gallon tanks but I convinced her otherwise. So I ended up setting up my old 5 gallon. It didn't have a filter to start but I just started running one. I am running a fish in cycle with twice daily 50-70% water changes. They take no time at all with a 5 gallon :). She wants more fish but I'm not sure if that's possible. So my question is, along with the current stock of 1 male crowntail betta what could she add livestock-wise, I've suggested snails and when I get my new light and buy plants I'll get some snails thrown in. Let me know what you guys think :)

I believe an African dwarf frog would be okay in that tank

You could do a couple. I have 4 in my 10 with my betta

Black mystery snails make great tankmates for bettas. But you can't have any other fish in there. But if you're doing live plants, then don't get the mystery snail, as they eat plants.
