Just thought of this since you added the rams: what's the water temp in your tank?

If you have Emerald Cories you actually have Brochis splendens. Brochis are a cousin to Corydoras but get bigger. Emeralds hit 3"

Right now I've been keeping the tank at 81 because I don't have a QT tank at the moment and been battling ick to a point. I'm too paranoid to add a bit of salt because I've heard the plants won't like that.

I will have to read that article thank you. I do have the emeralds I liked the color they gave off.
