HI, I am a new owner of 4 honey dwarf gouramies, and I am wondering about how much sleep they should have, as well as I was told some time ago, before I got fish that adding a little salt to the tank is a way to maintain healthy fish. An ounce of prevention as the saying goes. I am sure at the fish store they fish got about 15 hours of sleep. Thanks!!!!

Mine get about 8-9 hours, They go to bed when I do and get up when I do.
I don't use salt. I have in the past but really don't see any difference.
If you do use salt get yourself a low level hydrometer to keep track of how much you have. The levels will change after a number of water changes no matter how carefull you are about how much you add.
