Ac 50

I'm cycling my tank and just got a new ac 50. Should I fill the nylon bag with the biomax stuff? Or fill it with my seeded gravel?

Yes, put the biomax in there. I run AC's with a sponge on top, biomax, sponge on the bottom. Occasionally, i'll toss in some polyfil, though I'm becomming less and less of a fan of it.

Oh so two sponges bc there's really no need for the carbon?

Carbon is useful for removing meds (after treating) or tannins from driftwood, but not necessary for normal maintenance.

I actually put the biomax in and zip tied what was left of the media bag and filled it with seeded gravel. So now I have both
