Acaras following a weather loach?

I just added my weather loach to my tank and my 2 blue acaras are just following it like something incredibly interesting.
The 2 blue acaras have been in the tank for a week with no other fish except a guppy.
Any ideas lol, have they beck e friends

I'm sure they're just checking out the new resident, just watch for any aggression issues. Most cichlids tend to have more conspecific aggression than towards other cichlids as opposed to non-cichlidae members.

It's a 53 inch long tank with a lot of hiding places, I'll add some tubes tomorrow so the loach can hide somewhere they can't go. Iv been watching them for a while and I can't see anything happening.

If the acaras had no problems with the guppy does that mean they would be okay with the loach?

I'm sure they'll be fine, acaras are at the low end of the aggression scale.

Good the loach is fully grown and the acaras are not fully grown so hopefully they are a little put off bullying him.
