Hello again.

what is your input on Acclimation of fish move to bigger tank.
If the PH is within a .1 + or -
Water Temperature the Same
0 Ammonia
0 Nitrites
Higher Nitrates in smaller tank.

this is for moving two 8" oscars to bigger tank
Can I Just net the fish and put them in new tank or should I bucket them and Acclimate? I want the stress to be a minimum

Thanks

I'd say acclimate them. It will reduce stress and they'll get accustomed to the tank much quicker that way.

If you were using the same water from one tank into the other, I'd say just net the fish but realize that depending on how you acclimate could be just as stressful to your fish.

I find acclimatising seems to work better but this is for smaller fish where letting the tank mates get used to them is handy as well.

Before moving fish from my QT into my main tank I water change the QT a couple of times over a couple of days with water from my display tank. By this time they are almost the same. I do minimal acclimatising.
I have had far fewer problems this way.
