Actviated carbon and zeolite crystals?

Activated Carbon and zeolite crystals what are they?? I got some with my used 55G tank and don't know what they are still in package pretty new and never opens I got about 4 contains of this stuff.

Zeolite is used for MANY things (check wikipedia). In aquaria it is used to remove ammonia. Not needed in a properly cycled tank of course. Be careful with it because it can also remove calcium. Mostly, you won't need it.

Thanks!! Just wondering if I would use it or not plus I wonder what it was used for.

If the carbon is mixed in with it save it for possible future med removal.

It is mixed I think looks like rooks or gravel but ok!
