Can I just cap it with normal aquarium gravel?

There isn't much point, it will be equally "dusty". You can refrain from calling and just change water a lot.

For those who have used ADA soil, how would you rate it versus something like EcoComplete?

Lol ... I shouldn't post so late.

I've only used aqua soil in my 3 gallon betta tank, my big tank has plain sand. Probably not the setting in which it shows off its magical powers. I tried it just because our LFS sells it by the pound.

It doesn't need capping. It will settle. You can clear it faster with water changes. You can plant it now, while you wait out the Ammonia spikes. Plants LOVE it.

I have AquaSoil Amazonia Multi in one of my 5.5g tanks.

Plus lots of my club members use it.

I want to go buy plants but my LPS is 20 minutes away so I have to wait till my parents will drive me. Hopefully soon! Also could anyone who used it post pics?
