Hello All -

I have a 55g tank that had four angelfish, all added at the same time. I lost one, down to three, and was wondering about getting a replacement for it. The current angels have bodies about silver-dollar size.

I've heard angels can be territorial. What do you think? Should I leave the original three as is, or can I add another in?

Thank you very much!!

all i can offer is i had 4 in my tank once 2 paired up the other 2 hated them and had to be removed...Now the 2 that i removed hate each other...but the pair is happy

I'd be wary about adding a new angel to an established group. They can be very territorial. As brutus noted, you'll have to keep an eye on the three you have, if two pair up the third will likely get picked on and need to be removed.

With a tank that size and small angels, it shouldn't be a problem. There might be some squabling, but with small fish like that it usually works out.
