Adding new filter

Hi i currently have a fluval 105 running on my 4ft turtle and fish tank and have just bought a new fluval 206 to run along side it, i was just wondering if i could just add the filter with all the new media with still using the 105 or if i would need to put some old media out of the 105 in it first?

You can just run them both together and in a few weeks the new filter will have some bacteria as well.

If the tank has been established for some time and cycled there is no need to put anything old in the new filter. Enjoy it.

If you plan keeping thoses two filters on this tank, then you don't need to feed the new filter with old media.
